What is Osteo Assess?
It is important that you get the help you need, when you need it. Osteo Assess can get you where you need to be quicker, getting you assessed & referred within 2-3 weeks of receiving your referral.
We are trying a new way of contacting people with severe hip or knee problems who may need a joint replacement. We are offering a telephone appointment with an experienced specialist physiotherapist who works closely with the orthopaedic surgeons. This telephone appointment will tell us enough to understand what your next steps might be.

How to book my appointment?
You can book yourself in using the link on your text message. You may need to use the 2nd drop down option to see the Specialist Hub (as below).
What happens next once I book an appointment?
We will send you a confirmation message for the appointment. This will have a link to some useful information to read before your appointment.
On the day of the appointment your call will come from a withheld number. Please be aware appointments can overrun, your clinician will try to call on time but may be 5-10 minutes late.
What if I don’t want this appointment?
If you don’t want to take part, just let us know by contacting our hip & knee team on 0300 303 8063 or here.brighton.smskp@nhs.net. You will still receive a traditional appointment to see a specialist.
