getUBetter is available for patients from Brighton & Hove, Mid-Sussex, Crawley, and Horsham. This free NHS tool can help you to self-manage a range of muscle, bone, & joint conditions and injuries. It can also help support you with your Pelvic Health.
Most musculoskeletal injuries & conditions can be treated at home and will get better in time without the need for a specialist appointment. getUBetter gives you the knowledge, confidence, and skills to help you improve your MSK health. It offers local tips, advice, & exercises tailored to you and your stage of recovery.

How do I access the app?
- Download the app: getUBetter is available for iOS or Android. Alternatively you can access support via the web app.
- Create your account: Enter your postcode, select your GP practice, and enter your details to create your account.
- Choose your condition: Select your condition and follow your personalised and targeted recovery pathway.
- Log in and follow your programme regularly to improve your MSK health.

Pelvic Health Module
Do you experience frequent trips to the toilet, leaking urine, or a heavy feeling in your pelvis? These symptoms are common but shouldn’t be seen as normal.
Our new Pelvic Health Module is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to manage your symptoms and live a healthier life.
This module covers:
- Female pelvic pain
- Female pelvic prolapse
- Female bladder & bowel health (including incontinence)
- Cis-female biology & anatomy

Who is the app suitable for?
People 18 or over who need help with a joint or muscle problem.
The app is not suitable for:
- Under 18-year-olds.
- People with worsening neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, or problems with bowel or bladder.
- People diagnosed with an infection, rheumatological problems, neurological issues.
- Cancer related pain
- Pelvic organ pain
- A new fracture
- Anything that requires very specific medical management or advice e.g. Achilles tendon rupture or ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) rupture.
- People with very severe, worsening symptoms.
- Pregnancy-related problems.
Can I still use the app whilst I am waiting to be seen?
Yes, you can!
getUBetter is designed to help support your whilst you may be waiting for an appointment.
What if I need help with using or logging into the app?
No query is too much, so please do reach out at contact@getubetter.com for help and support. We will do our best to get a suitable resolution for you.
What do we do with your information?
